VTSAX Millionaire Journey #3: $64,837.41
Can you believe it’s already April and today is the 3 time I am updating you from start of this post? I highly suggest you read it as it will explain everything including why I started a new Millionaire Journey. This journey, like most, is a marathon and not a sprint. It’s a way to build wealth at a simple and steady pace. It would be nice to wake up one day and have an account with more money than I could ever imagine but the reality is that isn’t something I (nor most people) need.
Anyway, before I get into the numbers I wanted to share an email I got the other day and the response I gave. The email you are about to read is the very reason I started this millionaire journey.
(The email I received was edited for clarity)
I am wondering if there are any legitimate people or companies to help me get started trading penny stocks? I am a single mom & don’t have money to throw away. Thank you.
When I read single mom who has no money to trade I immediately think don’t trade. Even if you had money to throw away learning to trade, you would still lose money testing out your strategies and learning what works for you. In my opinion, you need to find another way to make ends meet.
I hope that helps.
Ok Thank you for the advice. I think I got caught up because a friend of mine invested $5000 and within a week he almost doubled his money on 1 stock.
(My final response)
You are welcome but that is called luck. Trading is not about luck. Yes you can get lucky but you can also get unlucky. Google Joe Campbell KBIO Etrade and you will see what I mean. Please protect your money and your family from stock market predators.
Here are the numbers.
I was able to add in $4,993.92 to my VTSAX position as last month was a really good month for me. That number is a combination of previous income, trading, dividends, capital gains and option money. There was a $2,108.41 investment return since January 10th 2017. That is significantly lower from last month but the market is cooling off allowing me to pick up more shares of VTSAX at a lower cost.
If you want to read more about VTSAX please read my article which was published on Seeking Alpha. It breaks down all the necessary information about VTSAX. In addition, I also suggest picking up a copy of “The Simple Path to Wealth,” which inspired me to start this journey. My review here might help inspire you as well.
To wrap things up my Vanguard Total Stock Market Index Fund total is now $64,837.41.
As always feel free to reach out to me here and ask me any questions you may have.
Until next month.
