Millionaire Journey Update #12:
Happy New Year! Can you believe it? 2017 is gone and 2018 is already 10 days old. I picked today to update my millionaire journey via my Vanguard Total Stock Market Index fund because I started this journey exactly 1 year ago today. Let me say this. What a journey it has been. In fact when I began on January 10, 2017 I made reference to being nervous due to Donald Trump being President. After 365 days I am still nervous but can’t deny that it has been a good financial ride all in all. It’s important to note that I blog about ways that I make money as well as saving money wherever I can.
I blog about my trading, photography and blogging income. One of the things I neglected to mention and it has been a continual source of income is my old Youtube account. Before I was a dad I began a Youtube account with the hopes of becoming a Youtube star. Yes you read that correctly. That is not a typo. Don’t laugh. I amassed a subscribership of nearly 20,000 at my peak. Then I started to let it go a few years back.
However, in the last 3 months my Youtube channel has been surging again from some of the Doritos Crash the Superbowl videos I did from 2012 to 2016. For the life of me I can’t figure out why there is such a surge of views.
Everyday I am getting new subscribers to my channel and I never promote it. Plus, there has been a nice increase to my ad revenue lately. Feel free to watch below.
Anyway, 2017 was a great year all in all. I am very happy that I made smart choices to lower my expenses and make as much money as I possibly could. Plus it was a great feeling to continue to build on my family’s nest egg.
Speaking of nest egg, let’s do the numbers for last month.
I was able to add in $3041.30 to my (VTSAX) Vanguard Total Stock Market Index fund position for the ending month of December.
That number is a combination of photography, blogging income, trading, dividends, capital gains and option money.
And Youtube too.
There is now a $17,363.95 investment return since January 10th 2017.
To wrap things up my Vanguard Total Stock Market Index Fund total is now $112,997.58.
If you need to reach out to me for any reason please do so here.
Until next month.
